Sophie Mercier

Sophie Mercier obtained her Law Degree from the Free University of Brussels (Belgium) (“Université Libre de Bruxelles”-U.L.B.) in 1998. That same year she started to practice as a professional lawyer when she joined a law firm specialised in Property Law.

Her specialisation in Commercial and Company Law have led her to be responsible for dealing with contentious and non-contentious matters in the area of International Commerce (distribution contracts, international sales), International Transport, Company Law (drafting of company minutes, conflicts between shareholders, provisional administration), Intellectual Property (brands, designs and models, copyright), Property Law (contracts, expert appraisal, public tenders, town planning) and Estates.

She became a member of the Valencia Bar Association, practicing the same specialities as lawyer in the European Union and, after following different courses on legal practice according to Spanish Law, and backed by the experience acquired in her intervention in the processing of Spanish legal matters, both judicial and extrajudicial, was quickly able to become a practicing professional lawyer in Spain.

Sophie joined the Law firm Pérez Domingo in 2012 and currently practices as a lawyer in Spain and Belgium, in the fields of Spanish, Belgian and E.U. Law.
